The following care tips, which will be included with your order, will help your recipient enjoy this Beaucarnea for as long as possible:
- Exposure: Choose a light or even sunny spot, but avoid direct hot sunlight which could dry out the foliage.
- Temperature: Ideally between 18° and 22 °C.
- Watering: As the trunk is used to stock water, this Beaucarnea should not be over-watered and the soil should never be soaked. Bear in mind that it prefers dry conditions and let the soil dry out completely between top ups. Use water at room-temperature.
- Fertilisation: Once a month, from April to October.
- Repotting: Repot in the spring only iif the plant has outgrown its pot. The Beaucarnea does not like being disturbed too often and would rather be a little tightly packed in its pot.
- Outside: It will also flourish outside from May to September, but does not like temperatures below 8°C).
- NB: Wipe the dust from the leaves with a damp sponge from time to help them breathe.
