The following care tips, which will be included with your order, will help your recipient enjoy this fig tree for as long as possible:
- Planting: Plant in well-drained earth in a hot, sunny. In a particularly cold winter, it is better to plant your fig next to a wall, as it prefers to be out of the wind.
- Watering: A mature fig tree can tolerate dry soil but a younger tree needs plenty of water during hot spells. Beware of overwatering, however, which could rot the roots.
- Light: This fig tree requires plenty of light and should be placed in direct sunlight to produce a maximum amount of fruit.
- Temperature: Fig trees thrive between 10 and 45°C. Cover your fig tree during its first winter.
- Maintenance: If you trim your fig tree, it will promote growth and produce better figs. You can trim it in the end of winter or the beginning of spring. Using special fruit tree fertilizer will produce a better crop.
