Description
Six trees to plant as a family, for a garden that changes face with the seasons!
This collection brings together one of each variety in the selection: three trees for flowers and fruit, three trees with remarkable foliage. A living gift for those who dream of a garden or terrace that changes colour from one season to the next, young and old alike.
A calendar of colours, flowers and fruit
As winter ends, the ‘Kojo-no-mai’ flowering cherry opens the show with its pinkish-white flowers, from late February to late March. The ‘Chico’ dwarf pomegranate takes over with bright orange double flowers all summer, while the ‘Brown Turkey’ fig tree offers its figs from summer to autumn. The ‘Atropurpureum’ Japanese maple, purple in spring then bronze in summer, turns bright red in autumn. The holm oak and the cider gum, both evergreen, keep their foliage all year, one dark green, the other silvery-blue and scented.
Plant, water, observe: an adventure to share
Digging the holes, setting the six trees, watering them, spreading the mulch: every step is easy to share with children, who discover how trees grow. It is then up to them to watch for the cherry’s buds, count the pomegranate’s flowers, taste the first figs, measure the fast-growing cider gum and note the maple’s colours. Six trees, six appointments in the year, and the pride of saying “we planted them ourselves”.
