Instructions for care

How to care for an azalea?
  • Watering: When watering, water generously, until water comes out of the drainage holes. Don't make the common mistake of leaving water in the saucer, which, it cannot be stressed enough, causes the roots to suffocate and then rot.
  • Temperature: Generally speaking, you should not keep your azalea near a heat source. Place it in the coolest and brightest spot in the room, near a window if possible, but out of direct sunlight.
  • Outdoors: Only in May should you move the plant outdoors, to a partially shaded and sheltered spot. Apply fertilizer every 15 days, and be careful not to let it dry out. Before the first frost, bring the plant indoors to a cool place (6 to 12°C) and water moderately until flower buds appear—your reward! A new cycle begins...
