- Planted directly in the ground: Water regularly to make sure the fruit develops properly, remembering to remove any lateral shoots which may develop at the base of the leaves when they exceed 5 cm in length. This operation concentrates the sap of the fruit.
- In a pot: This is possible as long as you take a little more care than when the tomato is planted directly in the ground. Add a special tomato fertilizer, water regularly and generously when the weather is hot and dry. Moisten the top soil in the pot without touching the foliage. In the summer, add water every day after sunset to limit evaporation. Once or twice a week, nip off the suckers that appear at the base of the leaves and turn the pot so that all the tomatoes get the sun.
