Instructions for care

How to care for a phalaenopsis orchid?

Phalaenopsis is the most common orchid variety and one of the most floriferous.

After flowering, cut the stem whose flowers have faded above the 2nd eye (20 to 25 cm from the base).
Exposure: light without direct sunlight, away from cold drafts.
Temperature: must be between 18° and 21°C.
Watering: bathe your plant once a week in barely lukewarm water, then let it drain well before putting it back in its cache-pot. From March to September, add a little fertilizer once a month.
Repotting: every 2 or 3 years with a special orchid mixture, it is essential to help the development of the plant.
Outdoors: avoid taking it out all summer, unless you shelter it from the rain and monitor the temperature very carefully, as it can drop to around 10 to 12 °C.
